As a young girl growing up on Maryland's eastern shore in the 1980's I remember visiting an old green and white store with my mother, grandfather and cousins. It was an old store with a small porch, screened door and peeling paint. Inside the shelves and walls overflowed with grocery items, tools, treats and other random knick knacks. The General Store was considered a one stop shop and community space where neighbors gathered but seem to never leave. While it was small in structure the store's inventory provided those basic essentials everyone needed as well as those unique one of kind items. The General Store Inc. helps foster innovation by utilizing the resources you already have at your disposal. We design products, strategy, campaigns and experiences that spark creativity and electrifies community. Since 2005 owner Seshat Y. Walker has created, produced, curated and collaborated on relative, progressive, fresh art, content and experiences.
